Studio Location

My cosy home studio is based in Donabate, Co. Dublin. I also offer on location and at-home sessions, depending on my client’s needs.

How far in advance should I book my newborn session?

I suggest booking in from around your 20 week scan to ensure you have your session reserved for when your baby arrives. I recommend booking our session for about 10 days after your due date. I take a limited number of newborns bookings per month to allow for early and late arrivals. As soon as your baby arrives, you can email me and we will adjust the date to suit you, your family and your new little one.

Where do sessions take place?

Newborn sessions predominantly take place in my studio but can also take place in your own home, if preferred. For some new parents, leaving the house with a 2-week old newborn may be too overwhelming. For others, they may be looking forward to getting out of the house. Mini sessions take place solely in my home studio given the shorter timeframe. Family and couple sessions take place at an agreed location perhaps at your favourite beach, local park or even in your own home - weather dependant, of course.

How long is my session?

Sessions can take anywhere from 60 - 90 minutes depending on the packages selected but also leaving enough time for breaks, nappy changes and feed top ups where needed. Upon confirming the date, we will agree a time that works best for the baby feeding and napping schedule. Family/Couple shoots usually last +60 minutes.

Do I need to bring anything to a newborn session? 

No, just yourself, your baby and your changing bag (nappies, milk, soothers) - the usual must-haves newborns require! I have a range of blankets, minimalist props and outfits which we will use throughout the shoot. You do not need to bring additional items unless you have something sentimental like a family heirloom or teddy bear that holds important meaning and you would like it featured in an image. 

Location: At home or in-studio?

Some packages have the option to be shot in your own home. Stuck what to do? It really depends on your personal preference. Some clients love visiting my home studio which is ready to go once you arrive (no set up of lighting / camera etc required). Some clients prefer their little one to be captured in their own home so I like to offer both options. Generally most sessions take place in my home studio, however I discuss both options during our pre-consultation to understand what will work best for our shoot.

What type of props do you use?

As you can see from my portfolio of images, I adopt a minimalist and classic approach to photography. I choose not to have busy backdrops, excessive props or outfits. I incorporate soft blankets, teddy bears and accessories like hats for some images.

Can parents feature in a newborn or baby shoot?

Yes, of course! Parents and siblings are encouraged to be photographed with the baby. As the mini session is shorter in duration, we’ll discuss this during our pre-consultation.

When will I receive the photos? 

We always aim to deliver your photos as soon as possible. Depending on the package selected, the turnaround time for final delivery of images is typically 2 weeks after your session date.

Payment Terms

A non-refundable €50 deposit fee is required to reserve your session / due date. The balance is due 2 days before the photoshoot and can be paid via Bank Transfer. Once you fill in the contact form, I will confirm your booking date and share information on how to pay the deposit. 

Are gift vouchers available?

Yes! Feel free to contact me directly or use this form to purchase a voucher. I will arrange to either post, email or have it ready for collection. Please allow 3-5 working days for processing of voucher orders.
